CASA VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR, FULL-TIME POSITION. Provides professional staff support to CASA volunteers to ensure that abused children’s best interests are represented in court. Social services experience required.  Responsible for assisting with recruiting and initial training of advocates, and coordinating cases in Wilson County and Karnes County with Atascosa County (home office). Must demonstrate written and presentation communication skills. Must be available to work intermittent evenings/weekends with some travel.  Must have personal car, current TDL, and auto liability insurance. Offer condolences

Julia “Judy” Hilburn, 64, of Pleasanton, Texas, passed away on Friday, March 4, 2011, in Pleasanton.

Judy was preceded in death by her father, Leonard H. Kelly; granddaughter Cortnie Shayne McMillan; and son-in-law H. Lewis Thrasher.

She is survived by her mother, Otelia Kelly of San Antonio; her husband, Robert Allen Hilburn; her daughter, Doris Marie Hilburn and fiancé John Young of Pleasanton; and her son, Robert N. Hilburn of Pleasanton. She is also survived by her brothers, Pat Kelly and wife Barba, Robert Kelly of San Antonio, John Kelly and wife Peggy of La Vernia, and Frank Kelly and wife Sondra of San Antonio; her grandchildren, Amber Hilburn, Brittany Hilburn, Trent Thrasher, and Ryan Young; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation was held Tuesday, March 8, from 2-8 p.m. in the Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton. The family received friends from 5-8 p.m.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will follow in the Pearsall City Cemetery in Pearsall.
