Floresville High School students competed at the Business Professionals of America State Leadership Conference held March 3-6 in Fort Worth. The following teams and members competed:
Presentation Management Team -- Katherine Llewellyn, Jacob Ortega, Heather Jowers, Adriana Najar
Video Production Team -- Anais Avilez, Audrey LaPoint, Thalia Hernandez, Jessica Johnson
Global Marketing Team -- Kate Ragan, Jorge Richie, Alicia Castro
Computer Animation Team -- Michael Coble, Vernon Marsh, Marissa Martinez
Economic Research Project -- Natalie Rambo
Human Resource Management -- Nikki DeLeon
Payroll Accounting -- Crystabel Torres.
Area II Region 2 President -- Albert Saenz
The Presentation Management Team were state finalists and placed fifth at the competition. They are alternates for the national competition in May. Albert Saenz will go on to represent the Area and Region at the National Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C., in May.
Business Professionals of America is a national organization for students preparing for careers in business and information technology.
Regional President Albert Saenz, who is a member of the Floresville High School Chapter, will represent the Texas Area II Region 2 chapters as their president at the Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C., in May. Albert will join more than 5,000 other conference delegates from across the nation. The unique highlight of the conference will be the Conference Opening Session at the foot of the Washington Monument. All conference attendees will stand together at this historic site as the first Career/Technical Student Organization to gather at the National Mall.
