Tommy and Polly Myrick of Mount Pleasant, Texas, are proud to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Courtny Leigh, to Tyler Andrew Ortmann, the son of Tom Ortmann and Karen Work of Floresville.

Courtny is a 2008 graduate of Chapel Hill High School in Mount Pleasant. She is a junior at Texas State University, pursuing her bachelor’s degree in education.

Tyler, a 2007 graduate of Floresville High School, is a 2009 graduate of the Texas Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) Fire Academy. He is employed as a firefighter/EMT-B with the Canyon Lake Fire/Emergency Medical Services.

The couple plan to exchange vows in May 2011 at Boulder Springs in New Braunfels.

After the ceremony, they plan to reside in New Braunfels.
