Lillian Kosub Hild, 93, of St. Hedwig, Texas, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2011. She was born April 13, 1917, in St. Hedwig.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Sophie (Rakowitz) Kosub; her husband, Herman Fritz Hild; three brothers; and one sister.

She is survived by her children, Virginia Kalinoski and husband George, Dorothy Owens, and Alton Hild and wife Barbara, all of St. Hedwig; her grandchildren, Cheryl Young and husband Bob, Vicki Marshall and husband Mark, Lori Heffernan, Terri Broll and husband Ernie, Michelle Andrews and husband Cass, Kelli Richter, Russell Hild and wife Carla, Donna Burkhardt and husband David, Daina Munoz and husband Juan, and Tammy Pinkham and husband Eric; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

A visitation was held on Thursday, March 10, from 4-8 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia with a rosary recited at 7 p.m.

A Mass was celebrated on Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in St. Hedwig with Father Bill Zadora as celebrant.

Interment followed in the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Cemetery in St. Hedwig. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
