Stockdale tennis team competes in Cuero

The Stockdale High School tennis teams participated in the Cuero junior varsity and varsity tennis tournament March 7-8.

In varsity competition, Gabriella Salazar and Kristen Salazar finished in second place in girls doubles, Landon Coston advanced to the second round of boys singles play, and Roxanne Bischak and Ronald Lankford advanced to the second round of the consolation bracket in mixed doubles.

On the junior varsity side of things, Anthony Bennett provided some Stockdale highlights as he reached the semifinals in boys singles play. Tristan Marquez advanced to the quarterfinal round, and Jacob Cardenas participated in the first round of competition.

Katarina Wehmeyer and Shelly Oltsmanns advanced to the second round in girls doubles, and Sarah Holguin and Kayleigh Wagnon participated in the first round of doubles action.

In mixed doubles, Dylan Dunn and Lauryn Coston finished in second place, and Vanessa Bustamante and Perry Bone participated in the first round of mixed doubles.
