ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. KINGSVILLE -- The Poth High School boys powerlifting team was represented by Chase Wiatrek and Anthony Fish at the regional competition here March 12.

Wiatrek competed in the 198-pound class where he finished eighth overall with a three-lift total of 1,205 pounds. Wiatrek powered up 460 pounds in both the squat and dead lift, and added another 285 pounds in the bench press.

Fish finished fourth in the 242-pound weight class, as he turned in a weight total of 1,280 pounds. Fish managed a bench press of 295 pounds, a dead lift of 450 pounds, and a squat of 535 pounds.

“We are all very proud of Chase and Fish,” said Poth Powerlifting Coach Tim Bordovsky. “They both had great seasons and competed well this year.

“Chase will be back next year,” Bordovsky added. “His eyes are set on state and he knows what he has to do to get there. We wish Fish the best as he graduates. We will miss him here.”
