Offer condolences

Robert J. “Bob” Ball was enfolded in the arms of the Lord on Wednesday, March 9, 2011, in San Antonio, Texas. He was born June 10, 1927, in Kingsville.

He served in the U.S. Navy, and graduated from Texas A&M University. He married his beloved Gilda Wayne Pape on Sept. 3, 1948. Robert served as both deacon and elder to Houston Terrace and Southeast Churches of Christ.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife.

He is survived by his children, David and Deena Lynn Pattillo, Russell Scott and Sandra Ball, and David Earl and Lynn Ball; his sister, Dorothy Holder; his five loving grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

A visitation was held Thursday, March 17, at 2 p.m. in the Southeast Church of Christ in San Antonio, with a funeral service at 3 p.m. in the church.

Interment followed on Friday at 9 a.m. in the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
