ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Offer condolences

Fabian Lyssy joined his Lord in heaven on Saturday, March 19, 2011, surrounded by his family. He was born April 11, 1936, to Stanik and Annie Lyssy in Kosciusko, Texas.

Fabian married Lorraine Sekula on June 17, 1961, in St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Kosciusko. He was a member of St. Ann’s parish and the St. Joseph’s Society. He served as an officer for Catholic Life Insurance Branch No. 74 and the Wilson County Farm Bureau, and served on the Wilson County Show Barn Committee.

Fabian lived a long, happy, and rewarding life in Kosciusko, touching all those around him. He was a devoted family man who enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. The Lord has welcomed him home with open arms.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Pete and Henry Lyssy; his brothers-in-law, Lambert Sekula and Isadore Felux; and an infant daughter, Pamela.

He is survived by his angel on earth and wife of 50 years, Lorraine; his children, Carl Lyssy and wife Kelly and children Erika, Alexandra, and Trent of Floresville, Vernon Lyssy and wife Karen and children Philip and Natalie of Port Lavaca, Floyd Lyssy and wife Deanne and children Kaylee and Braden of Poth, Roger Lyssy and wife Lori and children Rachael and Ryan of Falls City, Harvey Lyssy and wife Amy and children Lyndsay, Zachary, Blake, and Jordan of Poth, and Phyllis Swize and husband Bryan and children Ashton, Courtney, and Colton of La Vernia.

He is also survived by his sisters, Mary Jaskinia and husband Louis of Cestohowa, Lillian Felux of San Antonio, and Cecilia Padalecki and husband Hubert of St. Hedwig; his brother-in-law, Alfred Sekula and wife Linda of Kosciusko; and sisters-in-law Edna Lyssy of Floresville, Aggie Lyssy of San Antonio, and Dorothy Sekula of Poth.

A visitation began on Monday, March 21, at 5 p.m., and a rosary was recited at 7 p.m. in St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Kosciusko.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Kosciusko with Father Jonathon Felux and Father Phil Henning officiating.

Interment followed in St. Ann’s Cemetery in Kosciusko.

Serving as pallbearers were Fabian’s grandsons, Philip Lyssy, Braden Lyssy, Zachary Lyssy, Blake Lyssy, Trent Lyssy, Colton Swize, and Ryan Lyssy.
