Help Wanted

ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Compensation is at a rate of $200 per week plus $100 per completed and submitted crisis assessment, and mileage. If interested call Camino Real Community Services, 210-357-0359.
The Floresville Independent School District is accepting applications for District Wide Custodian Positions, 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. shift. Angie Garcia of Floresville, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2011, in San Antonio at the age of 67 years, 3 months, and 5 days. She was born on Dec. 10, 1943, in Floresville to Trinidad and Josephina Flores.

She is survived by her husband, Sacramento Garcia of Floresville; her children, Giny Beltran and husband Carlos, Mike Collins, Tom Collins, Ricky Collins, Steven Collins, Bonnie Sarver, Henry Garcia, and David Garcia; her brother, Trinidad Flores Jr.; her grandchildren, Karla Beltran, Carlos Beltran, Ashley Collins, Matthew Collins, Dessire Sarver, Charles Sarver, Arcilia Rodriguez, Melodie Garcia, and Enrigue Garcia; and her great-grandchilren, Iziah Guzman and Xavier Guzman.

A visitation was held on Thursday, March 17, at 4 p.m., with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. in the Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville.

A Mass was celebrated on Friday at 11:30 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Floresville with the Rev. Phil Henning officiating.

Interment followed in the Cañada Verde Cemetery in Wilson County.
