LA VERNIA -- Deputies from the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a fatal March 30 shooting death on Rosewood Drive south of here.

Sheriff Joe D. Tackitt Jr. confirmed that the victim was Glenn Hendrickson, the assistant principal of La Vernia Junior High. The cause of death appears to have been a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Deputies were called to the home at approximately 3:30 p.m. after a family member found Hendrickson’s body.
