Rev. Kenneth Eugene Wellman, 84, of Sutherland Springs, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2011, in Sutherland Springs. He was born Nov. 1, 1926, to Art Earl and Ethel Lily (Eslick) Wellman.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Wellman of Sutherland Springs; his daughter, Roxanne (Wellman) Steir and husband Victor of Evanston, Wyo.; his son, Wayne Wellman and wife Robin of Stockdale; his grandchildren, Autumn Leiv Wellman, Kyle Wellman and wife Christy, and Ethan Wellman; his great-grandchildren, Malachi Villarreal, Eli Wellman, and Kyndal Wellman; and special friend Diana Lambert.

A visitation was held Saturday, April 2, from 4-8 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in Stockdale.

A funeral service was held on Sunday at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church in Stockdale.

Interment followed in the Sutherland Springs Cemetery in Sutherland Springs.
