Carol Ann Bayer, 65, of McDade, Texas, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2011, in the Texas Neuro Rehab in Austin. Carol was born in Livingston on Feb. 6, 1946.

Sherman Roy and Minnie Mae McNeill raised Carol in San Antonio. Carol married Phillip Bayer on Oct. 30, 1965, and was blessed with two children, Paula and Ross.

Carol, a dedicated wife and loving mother, enjoyed gardening, sewing, exercising, cooking, and being a motherly figure to many. She always lent an ear or cared for any who needed it. She was a strong woman who worked hard at her job and home. She was always busy being a great wife, raising her kids, and being a friend. She loved canning all she could from the gardens and working in the yard with her flowers and plants.

Carol is survived by her husband; her two children, Paula Hobbs and husband Josh and Ross Bayer; and her sister, Elaine.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 9, at 2 p.m. in the Siloah Cemetery in McDade.
