AUSTIN -- Here is the fishing report as compiled for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (full report is available at www.tpwd.state.tx.us)
Freshwater

BRAUNIG Water clear. Black bass are good on crankbaits and dark soft plastic worms in the reeds and near the jetty and dam. Striped bass are good on liver and shad at Dead Tree Point and near the pier. Redfish are slow. Channel catfish are excellent on liver, shrimp, cheesebait, and cut bait near the dam and the discharge. Blue catfish are good on cut bait in 15 -- 20 feet.

BUCHANAN Water clear; 58 -- 61 degrees; 10.79' low. Black bass are fair on pumpkin Curb's jigs, jerkbaits, and Carolina rigged JDC lizards along break lines in 10 -- 20 feet. Striped bass are good trolling white/chartreuse Curb's striper jigs and crankbaits, and drifting live bait in 20 -- 30 feet. White bass are fair on slabs, Pirk Minnows, and trolling crankbaits near the mouths of larger creeks. Crappie are fair on minnows over brush piles. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow and blue catfish are slow.

CALAVERAS Water clear. Black bass are good on dark soft plastic worms, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits in reed beds and near the dam. Striped bass are good on spoons and jigs near the dam and the crappie wall in 15 -- 20 feet. Redfish are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are excellent on liver, shrimp, and cheesebait near the railroad trestle. Yellow catfish are slow.

CANYON LAKE Water clear; 60 -- 63 degrees; 2.07' low. Black bass are fair on black/chartreuse Curb's hair jigs, jerkbaits, and Texas rigged Scoundrel worms on shaky jigheads in 20 -- 30 feet. Striped bass are fair to good vertically jigging Pirk Minnows and Spoiler Shads, and trolling white Curb's striper jigs. White bass are fair jigging Blade Baits and Pirk Minnows along the main river channel at mid lake. Smallmouth bass are good on tomato red curl tail grubs, JDC smoke/red flake tubes, and tomato red drop shot worms over rock piles in 15 -- 25 feet. Crappie are fair on minnows and crappie jigs upriver. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow and blue catfish are slow.

CHOKE CANYON Water clear; 63 -- 65 degrees; 6.28' low. Black bass are fair on watermelon soft plastic worms and lizards. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Drum are slow. Channel and blue catfish are fair on shrimp and prepared baits. Yellow catfish are fair on live perch.

COLETO CREEK Water fairly clear; 0.42' low. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows and chartreuse tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are fair on stinkbait and nightcrawlers. Yellow catfish are fair on trotlines baited with live perch.

FALCON Water stained; 71 -- 73 degrees. Black bass are good on chartreuse soft plastics. Striped bass are slow. Crappie are excellent on minnows, jigs, and small spoons with grubs. Channel and blue catfish are excellent on shrimp and shad. Yellow catfish are fair on live perch. Everyone in a boat must have a Mexico fishing license (if fishing the Mexico side) whether fishing or not.

GRANGER Water clear; 58 -- 61 degrees; 0.15' high. Black bass are fair on black jigs and Rat--L--Traps in trees along the river channel. White bass are fair near Comanche Bluff. Crappie are fair on minnows upriver under lights at night. Blue catfish are fair on prepared baits. Yellow catfish are slow.

LBJ Water fairly clear; 60 -- 63 degrees; 0.12' low. Black bass are slow. White bass are fair on Pirk Minnows and Curb's jigs near Horseshoe Bay. Crappie are slow. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow and blue catfish are slow.

TRAVIS Water stained; 62 -- 65 degrees; 16.27' low. Black bass are good on smoke grubs, brown jigs, and crawfish colored crankbaits in 10 -- 20 feet. Striped bass are fair on white spoons and minnows in 20 -- 40 feet. White bass are fair on white spoons and chrome crankbaits in 20-- 35 feet. Crappie are fair on minnows and pink tube jigs in 15 -- 30 feet. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

WALTER E. LONG Water stained. Black bass are good on minnows and pumpkinseed soft plastic worm and lizards. Hybrid striper are good on minnows. White bass are good on minnows. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.
Saltwater

BAFFIN BAY Trout are fair while wading mud, grass and spoil banks on Corkies and topwaters. Black drum are good in the Land Cut on crabs. Trout are fair to good in the Land Cut on live shrimp.

BOLIVAR Trout are fair to good on the south shoreline on soft plastics and plugs. Black drum and redfish are good at Rollover Pass.

CORPUS CHRISTI Trout are fair to good on the edge of the spoils on Gulps and live shrimp. Black drum are good in the Humble Channel at night on crabs and table shrimp.

FREEPORT Sand trout and sheepshead are good on live shrimp on the reefs. Black drum are good at the jetties on cracked blue crabs.

EAST GALVESTON BAY Trout are good on the south shoreline on Catch 5s, MirrOlures and Catch 2000s. Whiting and sand trout are good on the edge of the Intracoastal on fresh shrimp. Black drum are fair to good in the Ship Channel on crabs.

WEST GALVESTON BAY Trout are fair to good for drifters working shell on live shrimp. Waders have taken good trout in the mud and shell on topwaters and Corkies in the afternoon. Sheepshead, redfish and black drum are good at the jetty on shrimp and crabs.

EAST MATAGORDA Trout are fair to good for drifters on live shrimp over humps and scattered shell. Redfish are fair to good on the edge of the Intracoastal on crabs and mullet.

MATAGORDA Redfish are fair to good on the edge of Oyster Lake and at Shell Island on shrimp and crabs. Trout and redfish are fair on shell and grass on soft plastics and live shrimp. Black drum are fair to good at the jetty on crabs.

PORT ARANSAS Redfish are fair to good at East Flats on shrimp. Black drum are good in the Shrimpboat Channel on crabs and finger mullet. Redfish, black drum and sheepshead are fair to good at the jetty on shrimp.

PORT ISABEL Trout and redfish are fair to good at Gas Well Flats on live shrimp. Redfish are fair at Three Island on small topwaters and soft plastics under rattling corks.

PORT MANSFIELD Trout are fair to good on topwaters around sand and grass. Redfish are fair to good while drifting pot holes on Gulps and shrimp. Trout are fair to good on the edges of the channel on soft plastics.

PORT O’CONNOR Trout and redfish are good on topwaters over soft mud in waist--deep water in San Antonio Bay. Trout and redfish are fair for waders working the back lakes with live shrimp and soft plastics.

ROCKPORT Trout are fair to good in Morris--Cummings Cut on free--lined shrimp. Black drum are good in the Lydia Ann Channel on crabs.

NORTH SABINE Trout are fair to good on the Louisiana shoreline on topwaters and Corkies. Flounder are fair on jigs tipped with shrimp around marsh drains.

SOUTH SABINE Sheepshead and black drum are good at the jetty on live shrimp. Trout are fair to good around Lighthouse Cove on topwaters. Trout are good under slicks.

SOUTH PADRE Trout are good around the spoil islands, channel edges and color changes on DOA Shrimp. Black drum and redfish are fair to good at the jetty.

TEXAS CITY Black drum are good in the channel on crabs. Sand trout and whiting are good from the piers on fresh shrimp. Redfish are good in Moses Lake on shrimp.

TRINITY BAY Trout are good for drifters working pods of shad and mullet on Bass Assassins, Trout Killers and Sand Eels. Waders have taken better trout on the shell along the east shoreline. Trout are good around slicks.
