1949-2011

James A. Howard passed away on Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011, in Floresville, Texas. He was born Nov. 16, 1949, in Savannah, Ga., to Ratchford and Mary Howard.

He was preceded in death by his father; and his brother, Robert Howard.

James is survived by his mother, Mary Howard of Floresville; his daughter, Katherine Howard of Floresville; his sister, Ann Howard of Lake Charles, La.; his brother, David A. Howard of Austin; and his grandson, Tyler Howard of Floresville.

A memorial service was held on Sunday, March 13, at 2:30 p.m. in the Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville with the Rev. Joe Garcia officiating.

Inurnment will follow at a later date.
