All Wilson County steer exhibitors planning to show at the Wilson County Livestock Show, La Vernia Livestock Show, and/or at any major livestock show in 2011-12 will need to have their steers validated. Steers that are not validated will not be eligible for exhibition at the county, La Vernia, or major livestock shows. Tags will be available Wednesday, April 13, at the Wilson County Extension Office. Each tag is $10 and $20 per late tag.

The Wilson County 4-H Council and Adult Booster meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 27, at 6:30 p.m. in the district courtroom. It is imperative to have a representative there to speak for each club. The meetings will be limited to one hour and are open to all 4-H leaders and parents.

The deadline to submit nomination letters for the Outstanding 4-H Youth and Adult Leader awards is Monday, April 25. Nomination letters must be turned in to the Wilson County Extension office.
