The deadline to enroll for spring credit by examinations in the Stockdale Independent School District is Thursday, April 28.

Students in Stockdale ISD may use credit by examinations to accelerate one grade level in the first through fifth grades or to earn credit in academic courses in the sixth through twelfth grades.

Students in the first through fifth grades may demonstrate mastery in a grade level by scoring a grade of 90 or above on each grade-level test in four general core curriculum areas: language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies.

Students in the sixth through twelfth grades may take the credit by examinations to receive credit for an academic subject with or without prior instruction. To earn credit by examination with prior instruction, a student shall earn a grade of 70 or above on the examination. For credit by examination without prior instruction, a student shall earn a score of 90 or above for credit to be awarded.

There is no charge for this examination; however, a deposit for each test will be returned after the examination has been taken.

Testing for credit by examination will be conducted on Wednesday through Friday, June 1-3.

For more information, contact Robin Wellman, high school registrar, or Roxanne Seidel, district testing coordinator, at 830-996-3551.
