Dora Ann Morris, 65, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2011, near Nixon. She was born in Gonzales on March 23, 1946.

Dora Ann was preceded in death by her father, Gabino Moreno; and her husband, Marshall E. Morris.

Dora is survived by her son, Marshall Howard Morris of Iowa Park; her daughter, Valori Nicholson and husband Rick of Houston; a granddaughter, Samantha Nicholson of Houston; her mother, Rose Vasquez Moreno of Gonzales; and five brothers, Lupe Moreno and wife Brenda, Gabby Moreno and wife Liz, John Moreno and wife Diana, David Moreno and wife Kathy, and Richard Moreno; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as other loving family and many friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday, April 25, from 5-8 p.m. with a rosary recited at 6:30 p.m. by Deacon John Moreno in the Finch Funeral Chapel in Nixon.

The funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Philip’s Catholic Church in Smiley with Father Alfonso Gioppato officiating.

Interment will follow at 1 p.m. in the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Philip’s Catholic Church, located on Carpenter Street in Smiley, or Mothers Against Drunk Driving (M.A.D.D.) Texas, 3910 S. IH 35, Ste. 225, Austin, TX 78704.
