Mary Melenesk Mueller, 81, of La Vernia, Texas, passed away Monday, April 18, 2011. She was born Sept. 29, 1929, in San Antonio.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Waldmer Alexander and Pauline Bobio Melenesk; her husband, Melvin Arthur Mueller; her brothers, Lawrence Melenesk and wife Betty and Michael Melenesk; and her brothers-in-law, Eugene Mueller and wife Isabell, Delbert Tanneberger, and Ernest Radtke.

Mary is survived by her son, Melvin Eddie Mueller and wife Bridgitte of La Vernia; her grandson, Morgan Edward Mueller of La Vernia; her sisters-in-law, Doris Melenesk of La Vernia, Alma Tanneberger of La Vernia, and Mildred Radtke of La Vernia; her nieces, Sarah Young and husband Robert and their family of La Vernia, Nancy Manka and husband Richard of La Vernia, Darlene Irwin and husband Pat and their family of San Antonio, Cathy Floyd and husband George and their family of San Antonio, Joyce Grainger and her family of San Antonio, and Yvonne Brooks and husband Tim and their family of St. Hedwig; her nephews, Delbert Tanneberger and wife Violet and their family of New Braunfels, Marlin Tanneberger and wife Sharon and their family of La Vernia, Robert Mueller and wife Diane and their family of Houston, and Lelon Mueller and wife Susan and their family of St. Hedwig; and a host of loving friends.

The family wishes to express their appreciation for the many phone calls, prayers, visits, and kindnesses during this difficult time.

A visitation took place Wednesday, April 20, from 4-9 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia.

A funeral Mass was held on Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Ann’s Catholic Church in La Vernia with Father Stan Fiuk officiating.

Entombment followed in the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Mausoleum in St. Hedwig.

Donations may be made by way of Mass cards.
