Stephen Michael Sellers, a resident of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2011, in his residence in San Antonio at the age of 44 years, 6 months, and 25 days.

He was born Sept. 25, 1966, to David William and Alice Hinds Sellers in the Baptist Memorial Hospital in San Antonio.

Stephen grew up in Floresville, where he graduated from Floresville High School in 1985. After graduation from Durham Business School in the late 1980s, Stephen began his career with CPS Energy, where he remained faithfully employed until his passing.

In the early 1990s, Stephen built his home in San Antonio. Stephen loved attending high school football games and especially loved family gatherings such as family reunions and parties. Stephen was dedicated to his mom, and felt very blessed to be able to care for her the last three years of her life, after she suffered a stroke. Stephen was a member of the Northwest Hills Christian Church.

Stephen was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his brothers, Ronald Sellers and wife Kathryn, and Kenneth Sellers and wife Brenda, all of Floresville; his uncles and aunts, LeRoy Sellers and wife Julie, Dorothy Stevens, Anne Sellers, Vaughn Yeager, Muriel Schoezel, and Opal Keenan; and numerous cousins.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 29, from 5-8 p.m. in the Vinyard Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Harper Cemetery in Wilson County with Pastor Gordon Lindley officiating.

Interment will follow in the cemetery.
