The Floresville Tigers traveled to Beeville last Tuesday evening and defeated the Trojans by the score of 12-2 in five innings. With the victory, the Tigers won their fourth game of district play and remained in contention for the playoffs.

The Tigers opened the scoring in the first inning as Garrett Pollok reached base on a single and scored on a two-run home run over the left field wall by Robert Silva. In the second inning, Sean Luna received a walk before Jonathan Parker hit a single. Following a passed ball and a stolen base, both Luna and Parker scored on a single by Pollok. In the third inning, both Robert Silva and Roy Silva reached base on walks. Cole Allen hit into a fielder’s choice as Robert Silva was out at third base. Drew Clements also received a walk to load the bases before Isaiah Guerrero hit a grand slam home run. Micah Clements led off the fourth inning with a line drive solo home run. Both Roy Silva and Allen were hit by pitches to reach base before Silva scored on a double by Drew Clements. Luke Laskowski, running for Allen, scored the next Tiger run on an RBI single by Guerrero. Drew Clements scored the final Tiger run of the evening on an RBI out by Luna.

Leading the Tiger hitters in the contest were Guerrero, who had a home run, a single, and 5 RBIs; Parker, a triple and a single; Pollok, three singles and 2 RBIs; Robert Silva, a home run and 2 RBIs; Micah Clements, a home run and 1 RBI; Drew Clements, a double and 1 RBI; Roy Silva, a double; and Luna, 1 RBI.
