Special Knowledge/Skills: 1. Good knowledge of the operation, trouble shooting, repair and maintenance of ground maintenance equipment. 2. Must demonstrate good mathematical calculation skills and reading comprehension skills. 3. Good knowledge of safety precautions to avoid injury to himself and other. Ready! Set! Go! The Susan G. Komen San Antonio Race for the Cure will take place Saturday, April 30 at the Alamodome.

The Susan G. Komen San Antonio Race for the Cure is a nonprofit fundraising event and the largest 5K run in San Antonio. Komen San Antonio recently granted over $925,000 to local organizations for breast cancer screening, treatment and education. Organizers estimate that there will be 30,000 people in attendance at this year’s event.

Saturday’s race is part of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Series, the largest series of 5K run/fitness walks in the world. The event raises significant funds and awareness for the fight to end breast cancer, celebrates breast cancer survivors, and honors those who have lost their battle with this disease.

Komen for the Cure is the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures. Thanks to events like the Komen Race for the Cure, the group has invested more than $1.5 billion, becoming the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in the world.

Register in person for the Komen San Antonio Race for the Cure on Saturday, April 30th between 6 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. The race starts near Alamodome Parking Lot B at 8:00am and finishes the 5K course at Alamodome Parking Lot C
