ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. The 81st & 218th Judicial District Community Supervision and Corrections Department (Adult Probation) is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC). This is a full-time position that will require travel to the following counties: Atascosa, Frio, Karnes, LaSalle, and Wilson. Requirements: Must be licensed as a chemical dependency counselor through the Texas Department of State Health Services. The Falls City Junior High School track and field teams won both the seventh- and eighth-grade district titles. The eighth-grade team scored 142 points, well ahead of Woodsboro’s 97 points. In the seventh-grade division, the Beavers scored 167 points to beat out second-place Port Aransas with 143 points.

Eighth grade

Field events:

Shot Put: William Stolle- fourth.

High Jump: Cody Houdmann- fourth.

Discus: William Stolle- first.

Pole Vault: Cody Houdmann- first, Joseph Swierc- second, Kaleb Hons- third.

Long Jump: Joseph Swierc- first.

Triple Jump: Jeremiah Corey- sixth.
