5k and 25k runs to benefit various charities

The Free Spirits Track Club (a 501c3 public charity) is sponsoring four running events during the American Hero 25k Relay and Concert at Alamo Stadium Sunday, May 29.

The day of events will include a 5k run, 25k run, 25k five-person relay, a 10 and under 1/4 mile walk/run, and a concert.

Proceeds from the event will help to provide scholarships, as well as to benefit March of Dimes, juvenile diabetes research, American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, Wounded Warriors Project, Ronald McDonald House Charities, UTSA Cancer Awareness, Any Baby Can, Congenital Muscular Dystrophy, Texas Burn Survivor Society, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and San Antonio Coalition for Veterans.

General admission is $15, and all military and children 10 and under will be free. Entry fees for the 5k, 25k, and 25k relay are $45 per runner before May 22, and will be $50 thereafter.
