First-grade students at Floresville South Elementary School were visited by Fiesta 2011’s Rey Feo LXIII, Bill Drain, April 15.

He spoke with the students about the importance of doing well in school and going to college. He told the children to thank the custodians and the cafeteria staff as well as their teachers, because they do such a good job.

The students really took his message of “Education Is the Key that Unlocks Your Dreams” to heart. We [teachers] were on a restroom break and we overheard students thanking the custodians for keeping the school clean!

Rey Feo also talked to the students about the Rey Feo Scholarship Program. He brought medals and coins for all of the students. They really enjoyed his visit!
