ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Compensation is at a rate of $200 per week plus $100 per completed and submitted crisis assessment, and mileage. If interested call Camino Real Community Services, 210-357-0359.

Pamela Sue Grossman Farrington, 64, of Stockdale, Texas, and formerly of Nederland, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2011, in Stockdale. She was born March 21, 1947, to Robert Anthony and Theresa Baker Grossman.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Theresa Fielder.

Pamela is survived by her husband, Ronnie Farrington of Stockdale; her daughter, Lisa Gonzales and husband Jay of Seguin; her son, Jason Farrington of Austin; her grandchildren, Maya Farrington of Dripping Springs, and Landon Gonzales and Carys Gonzales, both of Seguin; her sister, Linda Crees and husband Charles of Seguin; her brothers, Robert Grossman and wife Lucille of Seguin and Stanley Grossman of Kerrville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lustgarten Foundation (pancreatic cancer), 1111 Stewart Ave., Bethpage, NY 11714.

I am so sorry for your loss. My Father was Charles Roy Baker, Pamelas cousin. My Mother Twillia Jean passed away August 1st 2010 from Pancreatic Cancer.She was diognossed on July the 5th. Our thoughts and prayers are with you ... More ›
