Sharon Elaine O’Neal, 67, of Deer Park, Texas, died on Saturday, April 30, 2011, in Luling. She was born in Leesville on Oct. 10, 1943.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Douglas and Pauline Harris Ivey; her sisters, Louise Hitzfeld and Esther Ivey; and her brothers, Samuel Ivey and Michael Ivey.

Sharon is survived by her son, Michael O’Neal; her sisters, Ella Lakey, Lois Meyers, and Alice Sanders; her brother, Larry Ivey; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A viewing and visitation was held on Tuesday, May 3, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in Nixon.

A graveside funeral service followed at 2 p.m. in the Leesville Cemetery in Leesville with the Rev. Michael Cowey officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
