An informational meeting will be held Thursday, May 12, at 6 p.m. in the Stockdale Junior High School Building, Room A148, to discuss an upcoming trip for the Stockdale Junior High students to visit Washington, D.C.

The trip will take place next spring, in May 2012. Parents have plenty of time to plan, make arrangements, and can even pay by the month in order to make this trip affordable for most every budget.

Students attending the Washington, D.C., trip will visit historic places, such as the National Mall, the White House, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, and more. Additionally, the students will spend hours in the Smithsonian Museums learning about all aspects of our nation’s history. Flight, lodging, admission to sites, and two meals a day are included in the price of the trip, all through Explorica Travel.

During the May meeting, pricing and options will be given and ideas for fund-raisers will be discussed.

Students who are signed up by Wednesday, June 1, will receive a $150 discount on the trip, making the monthly cost as low as $66.

Pizza will be served.

For more information, call Lauren Lankford at Stockdale Junior High School at 830-996-3153, or e-mail .
