Forage, haying program set
The next forage management meeting, sponsored by the Wilson and Karnes offices of the Texas AgriLife Extension Office, is scheduled for Wednesday, May 18, in the Falls City Community Hall in Falls City.
The Extension offices have added an equipment display and meal to this program. A hay equipment display will begin at 5 p.m. at the hall followed by a meal at 6 p.m.
The hay program will begin at 7 p.m. and two speakers from Texas A&M will cover fertility of hay pastures and management of hay pastures. The final speaker will discuss the value of hay to the producer.
The meeting will offer one General and one Integrated Pest Management continuing education unit for participants.
Cost to attend is $10 for the entire event.
