ELMENDORF -- Deputies from the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office are analyzing fingerprints taken from a body found in the San Antonio River here May 16.

Sheriff’s Detective Rubin Arevalos said that someone on a property near the inter-section of Loop 1604 and Raintree Grove reported at approximately 7:30 p.m that they found the body of an adult female floating in the river. Arevalos said the person who located the body is believed to have been considering the purchase of the property.

The approximate age and ethnicity of the woman -- who deputies believe to have been in the river for four to five days before being discovered -- is unknown.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division at 210-335-6070 or San Antonio Crime Stoppers at 210-335-STOP (7867).
