Spring football? Yes, you got that right. The National Youth Sports (NYS) 14 and under Wilson County Regulators football team finished its regular season with a record of 4-2 and is now preparing for the playoffs.

The team’s two losses were to a pair of strong teams -- the Pflugerville Knights and the San Antonio Toros.

The Regulators, who consist of an even mix of kids that are future Floresville Tigers and Southside Cardinals, are going into the playoffs on the heels of a win over the San Antonio Chargers. Playoff sites have not yet been determined.

“We’re proud of our guys on a very tough and exciting season,” said Assistant Coach Rex Perez.
