Editor’s note: The regional track results for Stockdale High School were unavailable as of press time last week.

CONVERSE -- Stockdale High School had a strong showing at its district meet, and sent a number of boys and girls to the Region IV track and field meet.

In boys competition, the Brahma 4x200-meter team of Colton West, Dusty Mosier, Matt Valadez, and Trevor Baumann made the regional; and Josh Vela and Ronald Lankford went in the 400-meter dash. Caleb Sanchez qualified by winning the shot put, Hunter Pierdolla qualified in the discus, Clint Ploch made it in the pole vault, and Lankford made the cut in the 800-meter run.

At the regional meet, Ploch finished fifth in the pole vault, and Lankford finished seventh in the 800-meter run.

In girls competition, Erika Donsbach, Whitney Mitchell, and Jacee Wells shined in the hurdle events at district; Wells finished second in the high jump; and Laken Snyder and Alyssa May turned heads in the triple jump. Donsbach went on to finish third at the regional in the 300-meter hurdles.
