Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Canales of Poth, Texas, are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Chelsea Marie, to Christopher Allen Lyssy, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Lyssy of Kosciusko.

Chelsea is the granddaughter of Kaye Osburn of Runge and the late Claude Osburn Jr., and the late Rudolfo and Juanita Canales, formerly of Runge.

Christopher is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Craig Lemon of Sutherland Springs and Annie Lyssy of Kosciusko and the late Anton Lyssy.

The bride-to-be is a 2008 graduate of Poth High School and is currently attending Texas A&M University-San Antonio, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a secondary teaching certificate.

The prospective groom is a 2005 graduate of Poth High School and is currently employed with the San Antonio River Authority in San Antonio.

The couple will wed Saturday, June 25, in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Poth.
