Immanuel Lutheran Church is now hiring for a Youth and Family Ministry Director. Pastoral: Minister to youth and their families during Sunday School and other church programs, being present in their lives outside the church walls, available for common concerns and in crisis situations. Leadership: Recruit and nurture Youth and Family Ministry program. Administration : Manage the planning process and coordinate with Pastor and Youth Committee all regular ministries to youth and their families. This includes youth of all ages on Sunday mornings and mid-week events; assisting with Confirmation, special events, trips and retreats, and parent meetings. Stewardship: Ongoing evaluation of the effectiveness of youth programs, manage youth ministry budget, and collaborate with the sponsors of each Youth group. Ability to build, lead, and empower youth. Ability to implement a ministry vision. Familiarity with Lutheran Doctrine required; must be comfortable teaching it and representing Lutheran Theology. Proficient computer skills using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, database, email, internet, and social media. Supervisory experience preferred. Ability to adapt and evaluate curriculum preferred. Must have excellent organization, communication (verbal and written), and listening skills, with a high degree of initiative and accountability. Exceptional interpersonal and relational skills required, with sensitivity to church members and visitors. Understanding and enjoyment of youth and families and guiding their spiritual development. Joe Felux Jr., a lifelong resident of the Pulaski area, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 8, 2011, at 1:10 p.m. in the Connally Memorial Medical Center in Floresville, Texas, at the age of 87 years, 2 months, and 4 days.

Joe was born March 4, 1924, in Wilson County to Rosie Butter and Joe John Felux Sr.

He worked for Wilson County and was a farmer and rancher. Joe married Margaret Olinick on Aug. 10, 1948, in the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Cestohowa.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Rosie Felux; his sisters, Annie Sekula, Mary Wiatrek, and Elizabeth Wiatrek; his brothers, Isedor Felux, Robert Felux, and Henry Felux; and his son-in-law, Dennis Skinner.

He is survived by his loving wife of more than 62 years, Margaret Olinick Felux; his sons, Larry Felux and wife Ginger and William Felux and wife Cathy; his daughter, Patricia Felux Skinner; his sisters, Evelyn Snoga and Rose Pawelek; his grandchildren, Reesa Ellis, Carrie Bongiovi, Preston Felux, Lindsey Stephens, Lauren Skinner, Lucas Skinner, Crystal Felux, Kelsey Felux, and Autumn Felux; his great-grandchildren, Tanner Thompson, Charlie Bongiovi V, Addision Ellis, and Rylee Ellis; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation was held on Tuesday, May 10, at 5 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. in the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Cestohowa.

A funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the church, with Father Andrzej Waszczenko officiating.

Interment followed in the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery in Cestohowa.

Serving as pallbearers were Preston Felux, Lucas Skinner, Tanner Thompson, Britt Ellis, Charlie Bongiovi IV, and Tyson Stephens.

Serving as an honorary pallbearer was Charlie Bongiovi V.
