Offer condolences


Pablo Camarillo Sr., a longtime resident of San Antonio, Texas, entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 16, 2011, at 7:41 p.m. in the Baptist Medical Center in San Antonio at the age of 74 years, 3 months, and 21 days.

Pablo was born Jan. 25, 1937, in Floresville to Stanley and Gregoria Talamantez Camarillo. He attended Floresville schools and was a truck driver for many years. Pablo attended St. Patrick’s and San Fernando Catholic Churches in San Antonio.

Pablo was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Gregoria Talamantez; his stepmother, Cleofas Teran; and his sisters and brothers, Angie Lopez, Mateo Camarillo, Gloria Hernandez, Jimmy Camarillo, Mary Lou Camarillo, and Jesse Camarillo.

He is survived by his children, Cheryl Camarillo of San Antonio, Stella Moran of San Antonio, Pablo Camarillo Jr. of San Antonio, and Liza Camarillo and husband Michael Currie of Austin; his grandchildren, Carlos Camarillo, James and Mark Paul Moran, Adolph and Isabella Camarillo, and Nicholas and Bobby Currie; his sisters and brothers, Juanita Guzman of San Antonio, Fred Camarillo of Floresville, Alice Marin of Houston, Margie DeLaO of Saspamco, Joe Camarillo of Floresville, Johnny Camarillo of Floresville, Manuel Camarillo of Indiana, Mary Barrera of Floresville, David Camarillo of San Antonio, and Jerry Camarillo of Floresville; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

A visitation was held on Thursday, May 19, at 5 p.m., with a rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. in the Vinyard Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville.

A funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday at 11:30 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Floresville with Father Phillip Henning officiating.

Interment followed in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Floresville.

Serving as pallbearers were James Moran, Frank Moran, Joe Camarillo, Mark Camarillo, David Hernandez, Salvador Garcia, Daniel Abilla, and Cesar Abilla.
