1937-2011

Henry Edward Biesenbach Jr. went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 13, 2011. He was born Jan. 6, 1937.

Henry served in the U.S. Coast Guard and was a member of the American Legion Post 38 in Floresville, Texas. He was a well-known explosives engineer during the ’70s in San Antonio. He was the first blasting administrator for the city of Austin and implemented the first blaster license requirements in Austin. He was a truck driver and saw most of the United States during his time. He enjoyed hunting and fishing until he was unable to do so.

Henry enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and enjoyed taking them out to eat for Sunday breakfast. He remained friends with his ex-wife, Helen, and enjoyed spending all the holidays with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie May and Henry Biesenbach Sr.; his brother, Robert Charles; his daughter, Tonnie Lee; his son, Robert Kasun; and his grandson, David Roy Lilly.

Henry is survived by his sons, Henry III and Richard; his daughters, Lisa Johnson, Milisa Kasun, and Sherri Osborn and husband BJ; his brothers, Billy and Dicky Biesenbach, his grandchildren, Christina, Robert, Samantha, Justin, Kodie, Tyler, James, and Braylee; his great-grandchild, Memory Shae; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation was held on Tuesday, May 17, from 6-9 p.m. in the Dellcrest Funeral Home in San Antonio.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home.

Interment followed in the St. Paul Evangel Cemetery in Cibolo.
