KOSCIUSKO -- Three Seguin residents are being treated in area hospitals for injuries they sustained in a single-vehicle rollover wreck at approximately 7:30 p.m. May 26. The crash occurred on S.H 123 north of F.M. 541 near here.

Omar Avila, 25, and Lisa Rodriguez, 21, were flown via AirLife helicopter to University Hospital in San Antonio while Monica Medrano, 33, was transported via ambulance to the Connally Memorial Medical Center in Floresville. This is according to Trooper Stephen Bailey of the Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol.

According to Bailey, Medrano was the driver of a 1998 Mercury Mountaineer that was traveling south-bound on S.H. 123 when the vehicle's right rear tire blew out. This, he said, caused the rear of the sport-utility vehicle to skid to the right before it rolled at least three times. Avila -- the lone rear-seat passenger who was allegedly not wearing a seat belt -- was ejected from the Mountaineer.
