Run/walk to benefit children’s hospital

FLORESVILLE -- The “Hot Pursuit” 4-mile Fun Run and Walk will be held Saturday, July 9, from 6:45 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Floresville River Park.

The event will begin with on-site registration at 6:45 a.m., and the run begins at 8 a.m. The walk will begin shortly after at 8:05.

The registration fee is $25 per person, and participants can register at the event, at the Floresville AnyTime Fitness Center, or online at www.rrptiming.com. The first 150 to register will receive a free T-shirt.

In addition to the run/walk, the event will feature concessions, moon bounces, a Department of Public Safety helicopter, and more. The fund-raiser is being sponsored by the Christmas in July Foundation, and proceeds will be used to purchase toys for Methodist Children’s Hospital in San Antonio.

The Floresville River Park is located at 756 S.H. 97 W., just outside of Floresville.
