Jesse Eliseo Barhight, 34, of Seguin has been sentenced to two, concurrent 10-year prison sentences. This follows his June 1 plea of guilty to two counts of intoxicated manslaughter with a motor vehicle.

Barhight was charged in connection with a Sept. 13, 2009, crash that ended the lives of 39-year-old Simon Garcia and his 61-year-old wife, Cynthia. The pedestrian couple were returning from a late-night shopping trip to Walmart on U.S. 181 in Floresville when Barhight’s vehicle struck the pair, killing them at the scene.

Hey guys...that is my cousin. I do not condone what he did. My heart goes out to the loved ones who was affected by this tragedy. Jesse will probably not get out, if he does, he'll be back in again soon.
