STOCKDALE -- A 49-year-old Stockdale man is being held in the Wilson County Jail on charges related to a Nov. 26 murder in Minnesota.
Sheriff’s deputies from Wilson and Guadalupe counties joined their counterparts from Koochiching County, Minn., and personnel from the Texas Rangers and the Texas Department of Public Safety in this morning’s arrest of Carl C. Muggli. He is charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of his wife, 61-year-old Linda Muggli, according to a Koochiching County Sheriff’s Office press release.
Wilson County Sheriff Joe D. Tackitt Jr. said officials were informed that Muggli was staying with friends on Longhorn Road north of Stockdale. While thought to be dangerous, Tackitt said Muggli was arrested without incident.
According to The Journal of International Falls, Minn., Muggli is due to appear in Koochiching County District Court “later this week.”
