Erika Michelle Donsbach is the 2011 salutatorian of the class of 2011 at Stockdale High School. Erika is the daughter of Ray and Patricia Donsbach of Stockdale and the sister of Lauren Donsbach of Stockdale. She is the granddaughter of the late Anton and Linda Donsbach, formerly of Adkins, and the late Margaret and Edmund Gorzell Sr., formerly of Kosciusko.

Erika has been a member of the varsity volleyball team since her sophomore year, where she was the Newcomer of the Year and Academic All-District. Her junior year, she was first team All-District and Academic All-District and her senior year she was the co-captain, Academic All-District, tournament MVP, the district MVP, and a member of the 2011 All-Area volleyball team.

She has been a member of the varsity basketball team since her sophomore year, where she was second team All-District, All-Tournament, and Academic All District. Her junior year, she was first team All-District, Academic All-District, and All-Tournament; and her senior year, she was first team All-District, Academic All-District, All-Tournament, 2011 All-Area, and 2011 All-Region. Erika also has been a member of the varsity track team where she was a Regional finalist her freshman, junior, and senior years and a regional qualifier her sophomore year.

Her senior year she was also a qualifier at the Texas Relays and a member of the 2011 All-Area track team. Erika received the 2010-2011 Stockdale High School Outstanding Female Athlete Award.

She participated in UIL news writing her sophomore, junior, and senior year, and participated in UIL computer applications her sophomore year.

Erika was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes her sophomore and junior year. She has been a member of the National Honor Society her sophomore, junior, and senior years and was president her senior year. She has been a member of the Student Council for three years, serving as president her senior year. Erika has been her class’s president for the last three years. She has been a member of the Stockdale Gifted and Talented Program throughout high school. Erika has been a member of 4-H and a member of the Stockdale FFA chapter. Erika also participated in Voice of Democracy and the Hope Benefit. Erika is a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Kosciusko.

She plans to attend the University of Texas at San Antonio in the fall, where she will major in public relations.
