Brittany Nicole Covert is East Central’s second-highest ranking senior.

Brittany is the daughter of Eddie and Denise Covert of St. Hedwig. She has been very active throughout high school. She was Beta Club president, and a member of the National Honor Society, Interact Club, Rotary Club, and PTSA.

Brittany was a four-year varsity starter for the Lady Hornet softball team, and a two-year varsity captain. She was the 2011 varsity softball Most Valuable Player, and earned the Most Outstanding Attitude award. Brittany has also been a four-year Academic All-District player and an All-District catcher, making two all-tournament teams.

Brittany hopes to make the 5A All-State team this summer in Austin. She is also in the process of signing with the Baylor Lady Bears softball team. Brittany has earned several awards throughout high school as well, including the Academic Achievement Spanish award and the subject area Spanish Award, and she has perfect attendance from kindergarten through 12th grade.

Brittany plans to attend Baylor University in Waco in the fall. She plans to pursue a degree in pre-law with a minor in finance in the hopes of becoming a defense litigation lawyer.
