My name is Trevor James Barnett. I was born July 7, 1993, in San Antonio, Texas. My parents are James and Patti Barnett.

At the beginning of my education, I was home-schooled. In the second and third grade, I attended Salem Sayers Baptist Academy in Adkins. For the fourth, fifth, and sixth grade, I returned home to finish my elementary career. In the seventh grade, I moved to La Vernia Junior High. I began to participate in sports. I played football and tennis throughout my junior high career. In junior high I began taking a rigorous course load of Pre-AP and high school courses.

When we moved to the high school, I continued taking a rigorous course load. I am graduating with many hours of college credit through taking dual-credit and AP classes. I continued playing tennis through my junior year. I joined clubs like the Model United Nations and Speech and Debate. In Speech and Debate I participated in multiple events. The Lord has blessed me very much in my life. Through support from my coach and from my debate partner, Hunter Haliscak, I have been able to achieve success in the area of speech and debate. I made it to the state competition in Austin my junior year. My senior year I finished as a quarterfinalist at the state competition.

I am a member of the National Honor Society. I have maintained a high GPA (99.37) throughout my high school career. I am graduating from La Vernia High School as the salutatorian of the 2011 senior class.

After graduating I plan to attend Texas A&M University in College Station, where I will study biomedical engineering. Hopefully, I will be able to attend medical school and receive a graduate degree in medicine.
