Mason Nicole Finch is the Nixon-Smiley High School class of 2011 salutatorian.

The daughter of Timothy and Aciena Finch plans to attend Webster University in St. Louis, Mo., after graduation, where she plans to major in pre-med to become a pediatric cardiologist. She will also join the university’s Lady Gorlok volleyball team in the fall.

Throughout school, Mason participated in Business Professionals of America, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, UIL, National Honor Society, Art Club, and athletics.

As a senior, she participated in the first annual Coats for Kids and Operation Christmas Tree. She also served as junior class president.
