Kaylee Diane Lyssy is the Poth High School class of 2011 salutatorian.

Kaylee is the daughter of Floyd and Deanne Lyssy, and the granddaughter of Fabian and Lillian Moy of Falls City and Lorraine Lyssy of Kosciusko and the late Fabian Lyssy.

Throughout all four years of high school, Kaylee has served as class president and has been a member of the National Beta Club, serving as president her senior year. She has also been a member of the Three Oaks 4-H Club and Poth FFA chapter, and was elected as treasurer her junior year.

Kaylee has been successful in various UIL academic and athletic events. She has competed at the regional level in both UIL spelling and vocabulary and number sense. Kaylee was named the 2011 Outstanding UIL Academic Student of Poth High School.

During her high school years, she has also participated in basketball and volleyball and has been a member of the Pirette varsity softball team where she has earned all-district honors for the past three years.

In addition, Kaylee has been a varsity cheerleader for three years and served as captain her senior year. She is also an active member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Poth.

In the fall, Kaylee will attend the College of Natural Sciences at the University of Texas at Austin where she will pursue a degree in mathematics.
