Antonio “Tony” Contreras Jr., 64, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2011, in San Antonio, Texas. He was born in San Antonio on Nov. 26, 1946, to Fidela Ferbin and Antonio Contreras Sr.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Ann, in 2009; and his parents.

Tony is survived by his daughters, Cynthia Sandoval and husband Lawrence of San Antonio and Sam Angel and husband Sergio of Floresville; his sons, Antonio Contreras Jr. and wife Maria, Rolando Contreras, and Homer Contreras and wife Melinda, all of San Antonio; 16 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 8, at 5 p.m. with a funeral service at 7 p.m. in the Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville. The Rev. Al Saldana will officiate.

Cremation and committal services will follow at a later date.
