Leola Parks Henry, 94, of Nixon, Texas, died Friday, June 3, 2011, in Seguin. She was born in Nixon on Jan. 19, 1917.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie Leon and Maude (Williams) Parks; her husband, C.V. “Tommy” Henry; a son, Charles Dudley Henry; and a brother, Lonnie E. “Bubba” Parks.

Leola is survived by her daughter, Pam Faulkner of Austin; a sister, Elsworth Bird of Nixon; a brother, Vance Parks and wife JoAnn of Stockdale; two grandsons, Chuck Faulkner and wife Kim of Austin and Craig Faulkner of Cibolo; two great-grandsons, Carter Faulkner and Cole Faulkner, both of Austin; numerous nieces and nephews; and other loving relatives and friends.

Visitation was held Saturday, June 4, from 3-5 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in Nixon.

The funeral service was held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Jim Kennedy officiating.

Interment followed in the Nixon Cemetery in Nixon.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
