Ora Irene Harrell, a resident of Floresville, Texas, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2011, in the Floresville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Floresville at the age of 82 years, 5 months, and 6 days. She was born Nov. 22, 1928, in Atascosa County to Walter and Octavia Lynn Stewart.

Ora grew up in Pleasanton, where she attended Friendship Community School and Pleasanton Independent School District. Ora married Charles Henry “Buddy” Harrell in San Antonio on Oct. 4, 1947. She worked as a bookkeeper for Strauss Frank for 19 years and later for Heritage House. She lived most of her life in Wilson County where she was involved in craft shows, selling her woodcrafts. Ora was of the Baptist faith.

Ora was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her sisters, Helen Caraway and Hazel Caraway; her twin brothers, Claud and Clyde Stewart; and two infant brothers.

She is survived by her children, Ginger Livingston and husband David, Charlene Titzman and husband Marvin, and Darlene Adams and husband Larry; her sister, Jean Kiker of San Antonio; her grandchildren, Dwayne, Bryan, Scott, and Dustin Lowak, Cody McCoy, Shannon, Rryan, and Ross Titzman, Carrey Freeman, Jocelyn Payne, Amanda Ramon, and Gina, Kelly, and Stacey Livingston; her great-grandchildren, Morgan and Lane Lowak, Ginger Lowak, Leon, Cainan, Kemuel, and Cowboy Payne, Annabelle and Stetson Ramon, Jeffrey, Bonnie, and Lexxie Spacek, and Levi Titzman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation was held Monday, May 30, from 5-8 p.m. in the Vinyard Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville.

A funeral service was held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Gerald Goodridge of the La Vernia United Methodist Church officiating.

Interment followed in the Brite Cemetery in Leming.

Serving as pallbearers were Dwayne Lowak, Bryan Lowak, Scott Lowak, Dustin Lowak, Rryan Titzman, and Ross Titzman.

The family requests memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 7400 Louis Pasteur, Suite 200, San Antonio, TX 78229.
