1921-2011

Charles W. Wesling Sr., 89, of La Vernia, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2011. He was born Dec. 11, 1921, in St. Louis, Mo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles F. and Genevieve Tilley Wesling; his sons, Charles W. “Billy” Wesling Jr. and Michael Francis Wesling; and his brother, Robert E. Wesling.

Charles is survived by his daughter, Maureen Wesling-Garner and husband Leroy of La Vernia; his son, Donald J. Wesling and wife Mary of Ruskin, Fla.; his daughter-in-law, Linda Wesling of Troy, Ill.; his grandchildren, Teresa Huston and husband Dean of Freeburg, Ill., Steve Margason of Riverview, Fla., Billy Wesling III and wife Bonnie of Riverview, Michael F. Wesling Jr. and wife Ellen of Farmington, Mo., and Kimberly Perry and husband Jody of Farmington; his great-grandchildren, Cody Wesling of Riverview, Fla., Addie Huston of Freeburg, Ill., Trent Thompson of Freeburg, Christina Wesling of Hicksville, Ohio, and Tasha Anderson of Angolia, Ind.; seven great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation was held Friday, June 3, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia.

A rosary and Mass were held on Saturday at 1 p.m. in St. Ann’s Catholic Church in La Vernia.

Donations may be made by way of Mass cards or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
