Deputies investigate child’s death

LA VERNIA -- Sgt. Mark Reyes of the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed his department is investigating the death on Sunday of a 3-year-old on Hartfield Road near La Vernia.

Deputies were dispatched at approximately 5 p.m. June 12, where they reported the child was found dead in an SUV-type vehicle.

Names have not been released in connection to this incident, which remains under investigation by the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office.

I can only imagine the pain these poor parents are feeling. It was a horrible accident and I pray for them as well as their son. You can say you would never let this happen to your child but it was an accident. It's really ... More ›

Yah humby. I'm waking up in the middle of the night thinking about this and I only know the parents in passing since two of my children went to preschool with theirs. I cannot imagine the pain they are feeling right now.

That is so sad for this child as a parent I would never allow that to happen. I feel for the child. No matter how it happened this is a 3 yr old, its our jobs as parents to know what our children are doing all the time especially ... More ›
