LA VERNIA -- Sgt. Mark Reyes of the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed his department is investigating the death on Sunday of a 3-year-old on Hartfield Road near La Vernia.

Deputies were dispatched at approximately 5 p.m. June 12, where they reported the child was found dead in an SUV-type vehicle.

Names have not been released in connection to this incident, which remains under investigation by the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office.

I can only imagine the pain these poor parents are feeling. It was a horrible accident and I pray for them as well as their son.
