Samantha Kelly Scheel and Timothy Adam Oswald were united in marriage on Saturday, April 16, 2011, in the Fort Sam Houston Chapel in San Antonio, Texas. U.S. Army Chaplain McCalrin performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Douglas and Joy Scheel of La Vernia.

The matron of honor was Desiree Casas, the maid of honor was Teresa Devine, and the bridesmaids were Alex DeLuna, Virginia Flores, and Melissa Garcia. Serving as flower girls were Addison Ramos and Gracie Ramos.

The best man was Andrew Giddins, and the groomsmen were Edmond Edwards, Alex Seaton, Corey Scheel, brother of the bride; and Calvin Lockwood. Clayton Scheel, nephew of the bride, served as the ring bearer.

Usherettes were Ariana Deyon and Kayla Scheel, nieces of the bride; and Sean Upton.

The bride was given away by her father, Douglas Scheel, and her older brother, Jason Scheel.

A reception followed in the Oak Leaf Banquet Hall in San Antonio.

The couple will reside in Phoenix, Ariz., where Timothy will begin his new job as a U.S. Army recruiter. Samantha transferred from USAA in San Antonio to USAA in Phoenix as a claims representative.
